HYBRID ART LABORATORY

Since 2019, a transdisciplinary research space is working in the dependences of Fablab U. Chile, with a focus on the arts, but in co-dependency with scientific and humanistic practices. Artists, philosophers, designers, engineers and scientists, among others, converge in this hybrid laboratory.
Headed by Karin Astudillo (philosopher) and Jean-Danton Laffert (artist), this art-laboratory applies both in the theoretical and the empirical, with academic dissemination, links with the educational sector, art exhibitions, talks, among other activities.

The current and past participants are: Esteban Norambuena (industrial designer), Camilo Gouet (biologist), Victor Contreras (industrial designer), Gonzalo Olave (electrical engineer), Mauricio Hormazábal (Computer scientist) and Sebastián Rodríguez Aros (Designer and programmer).
